My own passion for writing and translation began long before Prose. As a ramen-eating English major fascinated by comparative and French literature, I fondly recall attending various lecture series at Oxford on the theory and practice of translation. Later, with profits from my cringely-named online bookselling business (Lit 4 Less), I pursued an MFA in Nonfiction Writing at Columbia, where I spent time reading translated poetry submissions at The New Yorker and immersing myself in the world of translated literature.
Later, I learned how words and stories could “translate” into building a global brand. After working as an editor on Google’s Global Communications & Public Affairs team, I led comms at Endeavor Global, an entrepreneurship nonprofit in 40 countries helping scale mid-sized enterprises. One big takeaway? The language of entrepreneurship and growth is universal.
These experiences have deeply shaped how we approach business translations and strategy at Prose—reflected in our care, precision, and nuanced attention to every word. Translation is an imperfect art, but one we strive to perfect every day.
