In fact, we accept only a small percentage of applicants, making us one of the most selective content providers in the industry. Our network of over 1,000 professionals includes experts who’ve worked with top publications, brands, and agencies.
Where do they come from?
Some pros apply directly to our network, others are proactively scouted, and many come through referrals from trusted sources.
Who does the vetting?
Some tasks are too vital to outsource. Unlike many content services, we don’t rely on AI, algorithms, or junior staffers for vetting. Instead, our senior management—including our CEO—personally handles this process, drawing on their expertise in writing, editing, and content strategy.
What are the criteria?
Every applicant is carefully evaluated across several key factors. And vetting doesn’t stop once they join the network; we continue evaluating them throughout their time with us. Here’s what we look for:
1. Initial vetting criteria:
- Overall writing or design ability: Judged by work samples and previous experience.
- Depth of industry and topic expertise: Ensuring they bring specialized knowledge.
- Proficiency in content formats: From blogs and SEO writing to executive ghostwriting, technical writing, UX design, and more.
- Proven track record: Measured by past campaign results and client lists.
- Educational background and experience: Judged by résumés and LinkedIn profiles.
- Professionalism and polish: Assessed through profiles, communications, and direct interactions.
- Personal qualities: Reliability, ethics, and work ethic.
- References: Many pros come referred by clients and top talent in our network.
2. Interviews and direct interactions
In many cases, we conduct phone interviews to learn more and assess qualities like communication skills, professionalism, and reliability. Once in the network, we continue to build relationships with our pros, getting to know them and how they work best.
3. Ongoing performance monitoring
Once accepted into our network, every pro is continuously evaluated to maintain the quality we promise our clients and ensure our pros are consistently on-brief and meet deadlines. This includes:
