How it works — working with our pros



What's the typical weekly workload for a fractional marketing pro?



The workload is flexible and tailored to your needs. Typically, a fractional marketing pro works between 10 to 20 hours per week, though they can also work up to 40 hours depending on your requirements. Just let us know your preference upfront, and we’ll accommodate it.

Some clients choose a monthly block of hours, spread unevenly throughout the month. This option is ideal if you have a clear sense of the overall workload but expect the hours to fluctuate from week to week.

Will I communicate and work with my pro directly?



Yes, you’ll communicate and work directly with your marketing pro, just like any other team member. Prose is available for administrative support and feedback, but we won’t act as a bottleneck.

Your pro will adapt to your preferred communication style—whether it’s email, phone, Slack, Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams—and integrate seamlessly into your workflow tools like Asana, Monday.com, Trello, Jira, or Basecamp. We prioritize clear communicators who are tech-savvy, ensuring a smooth, efficient collaboration.

How will my marketing pro integrate with my team and processes?



Integrating your marketing pro is designed to be seamless, making them feel like a natural extension of your in-house staff—or, for already-remote teams, a fully integrated team member. Here’s how we ensure a smooth transition:

Kickoff and onboarding:
Many clients start with a kickoff meeting to introduce the pro, discuss goals, and align on expectations. From there, your pro will review any relevant documentation and guidelines to quickly get up to speed.
Adapting to your processes:
Your pro will familiarize themselves with your tools, workflows, and processes, easily adapting to platforms like Slack, Asana, or Trello to fit into your existing systems.
Tailored communication and integration:
We’ll tailor communication to your preferences—whether through email, Zoom, Slack, or a project management tool. We also focus on cultural fit, ensuring your pro can collaborate closely with your entire team or focus on key members, depending on your needs.
Regular check-ins and updates:
Expect ongoing communication and feedback loops. Many clients schedule regular 1:1 meetings to review progress and plan next steps. If preferred, Prose can also join these meetings to ensure everything stays on track.
Prose’s support role:
We act as a behind-the-scenes HR function, regularly checking in to ensure your pro is integrating well. Based on your feedback, we can fine-tune their work to align better with your needs.

Will my marketing pro work remotely or on-site?



In nearly all cases, our marketing pros work remotely, using the latest tools to stay connected and productive.

However, in rare instances where a local presence is needed, we’re accustomed to facilitating on-site work, depending on geographic feasibility and your specific requirements.
