We're an agency. Can you help us create content for our clients?

Absolutely. Working with agencies is one of our core specialties. Please check out our Agencies page for more details.

To get started, simply sign up for a free account. We can work with you directly to create top-notch content for your clients. Receive white-labeled content easily and confidentially, and mark it up as you see fit. Working with Prose can save time, keep your clients happy, and generate a reliable revenue stream.

As always, feel free to contact us with any questions.

How does it work?

As an agency, you use Prose Media the same way an individual brand does. Simply sign up and order content whenever you need it. (See how it works.)

We both know that most of your content requests will not be for yourself. You will be selling the content Prose provides, under a separate arrangement with your own client(s).

As an agency, you are the one placing orders, making payments, and working directly with Prose. We operate confidentially, behind the scenes, as the “engine” that powers content creation for your agency.

Why should we work with Prose?

To view a list of benefits, we invite you to explore our Agencies page.

Bottom line: The demand for quality content keeps growing. But the process of creating content, ensuring quality, and doing so at scale can be challenging.

Prose is the easiest, most cost-effective way to provide your clients with top-notch custom content. From New York to San Francisco and beyond, top agencies partner with Prose to capitalize on the content marketing revolution and build a profitable revenue stream.

Prose makes it possible to delight your clients with top-tier custom content — without ever lifting a finger. Best of all, you can do so without having to find, interview, vet, and educate a stable of freelance writers. When you work with us, you can fulfill even the most demanding content agenda and still remain free to focus on what you do best.

How much does content cost, and what should I charge my clients?

You are charged based on the content you order. To keep pricing simple and transparent, we charge a flat rate for projects.

Per-word rates appear on our individual Solutions pages. Exact pricing (which takes into account desired length, writer tier, turnaround time, quantity / frequency, and any add-ons) is auto-calculated as you fill out the order form.

The amount you charge your clients is completely at your discretion.

Many agencies say they prefer to keep their partnership with Prose confidential, and mark up content by a fixed amount or percentage. Others prefer total transparency with their clients. Keep in mind that Prose fees are available for public view on our website, so those agencies usually add a flat surcharge that covers their own services — activities such as overseeing the content campaign, planning and strategizing, working with Prose on briefing and revisions, and assisting with distribution and/or analytics.

What kinds of agencies typically work with Prose?

    • Social media

Does Prose have policies or tips that are specific to agencies?

Serving agencies is a central part of our service, so we structure our core operations to facilitate this type of partnership.

Here are some guidelines and tips for working effectively with Prose.

  • As an agency, you are a regular Prose account owner, subject to all of our regular processes and policies, including those laid out in this FAQ and in our Terms.

  • Your responsibilities as a Prose client will include:
    • Completing a content brief that fully and accurately reflects your own clients' needs (revision requests must be "on-brief")
    • Preparing detailed revision requests (if needed)
    • Remitting payment on time and according to our terms

  • Before placing an order with Prose, be sure that our content review window aligns with your internal processes. Specifically, we offer a content review period of five business days, after which content is auto-approved. As an agency, you’ll be working with your own client(s) behind the scenes — an added layer of review and feedback that may sometimes create challenges and delays beyond your control. If you wish to request revisions, the request must be placed within five business days, or the content will be auto-approved and the account charged. Before ordering content, consider the time you need for a client’s sign-off, and the risk you will be assuming if he/she declines. As best practice, set strict parameters with your clients (e.g., a time window for reviewing content) before placing the order.

I’m ordering content for multiple clients. Is there an easy way to keep these orders separate?

Yes. Each content order you place requires you to create a title, strictly for your own reference. Most agencies include the client’s name within the title. For example, “Microsoft—software blog series” or “Joe's Pizza Shop—white paper (to be reviewed by Joe and his marketing rep).”

Each content order is billed separately and distinguished by the title you assign, so you can easily attribute expenses to different end clients.

As an alternative to the system described above, you may also wish to create multiple Prose accounts for yourself  — each one dedicated to a separate client. One significant advantage of this approach is the ability to upload multiple "brand guidelines."
