What happens after I approve my content?

Once a draft has been approved (or auto-approved), the project is closed out and moved to the “Completed Content” section of your dashboard.

In the case of one-time orders, your credit card is charged. (Recurring orders are billed monthly in advance.)

Once payment is processed, full ownership of the content transfers to you. You are welcome to use or reuse the content in any way, and you can attribute it to whomever you choose.

At this point, you may also wish to export/download your content.

Why do you auto-approve the content after 5 business days?

Busy people deserve a streamlined process.

Our auto-approval system provides an “autopilot” option for those who appreciate a fast, simple review and approval cycle. For recurring content plans, auto-approve helps keep content delivery and editorial calendars on schedule.

Our five-business-day review policy also ensures that your original writer will be on hand for any revision requests. When a writer claims a project, we ask that he or she remain available to perform revisions for up to two weeks after completing the project.

How do I download content from Prose?

Locate your completed project on the dashboard. At the bottom-right, click on the “DOC” icon to download it as a doc; or click on the “PDF” icon to download it as a PDF.

In which file formats can I download a document?

Content can be downloaded either as .doc or .pdf files.

Stay tuned: Additional file formats are on the way!

When I approve content, do I own it?

Yes. As soon as content is approved or auto-approved, and paid for, all rights transfer to you. You own the copyright and may use, repurpose, or attribute that content in any way you choose. At that point, neither Prose Media nor the original writer retains any rights to your content.

Do I have to give credit to the original writer?

No. All content is ghostwritten, so Prose writers only receive bylines at your request. You may publish content under any name you choose, or leave it unattributed.

If I like a piece of content, can I request the same writer for my next project?

Yes. If you are pleased with a piece of content, be sure to share feedback; we will make every effort to offer future projects to the same writer. (Learn more about how we ensure consistency.)

Also keep in mind that quality and consistency are products not only of the writer but the editor, who plays an active role in shaping each draft before you see it. If you are pleased with a particular piece of content, the editor is often largely responsible; and that editor can guarantee your satisfaction in the future, regardless of the writer used.
